Wallflower by

Blurb:

He’s the grumpy hotshot hockey player. She’s too shy to look him in the eyes. He needs a live-in

summer assistant and she’s perfect.

Chord Davenport is the hottest, surliest man to ever slap shot a puck. He’s given up everything to

be the best—family, friendship, love—but he’s about to retire as a legend of the game and that

makes his sacrifices worth it.

Violet James wanted to be the next big name in bridal couture not a junior marketing executive

for the San Francisco Fury hockey team, but her salary pays her dad’s therapy bills and leaving

him behind to chase a selfish dream would cost her too much.

When Chord hires Violet as his summer assistant, he’s certain this pretty wallflower won’t give him

any trouble. But when she moves into the house he built on his family’s California ranch, Chord

can’t take his eyes—or his hands—off her.

All he wants is to love her, protect her, satisfy her, and give her the courage to follow her heart. He

didn’t expect to feel a desperate need to become a better man.

In just one summer, Chord and Violet change each other forever, but will living their dreams be the

very thing that tears them apart?

‘Wallflower’ is a grumpy/sunshine steamy small town romance with an HEA. It’s the first book in the

Aster Springs series and can be read as a standalone.

REVIEW:

I absolutely loved this story 😊 Chord and Violet were so meant to be 😊

Violet James wanted to be a big bridal designer. But she was living with her dad who suffers from depression. So she got a job in marketing for the San Francisco Fury hockey team which pays for their apartment and her dad’s medical bills. Till the day that Chord Davenport walks into their office and he wants her to be his personal assistant for the summer. How is she going to survive being at his beck and call 24/7…

Chord has had it with life. He got traded, and the person taking over his position is the guy who his girlfriend has been having an affair with. So he decided while getting settled into the San Francisco Fury team he will spend the summer at home, his family’s California ranch. So he hires Violet James to be his PA instead of the head of marketing who was dying to worm her way in.

Besides Violet doesn’t look like she will give him any problems. But when he gets home and she has to move in with him instead of one of the cabin’s, it seems like all he wants to do is spend time with his little Wallflower…

I fell in love with this story. Violet was my kind of girl. Shy and big dreams and always putting everyone first in spite of her own needs. That’s why I loved Chord for her. He did everything to make her feel special and wanted and taken care of. I didn’t want this story to end. I loved how the story started out with Chord being a total grump, but the more time he spent with Violet the more he changed. He was totally good for her, and she was amazing for him.

I can't wait to read the next one in this series 😊
