Emmy is newly divorced and decided to move back home with her teenage son to be closer to her brother, Ty.

Beckett is an NHL player who moved back home to recover from an injury. The minute these two met, Emmy immediately has a like/dislike for Beckett. And she was not letting up, especially to a man who stole her parking spot lol, doesn’t matter if he was the hometown hero.

I enjoyed this one from the start. I loved how stubborn Emmy was lol. And Beckett was such an amazing guy! I loved how he connected with Emmy’s son when he volunteered to coach his old hockey team.

This story was such a pleasant surprise! My first time reading this author and I was definitely hooked by Emmy and Beckett and Jace’s story. The narrators was definitely spot on. I am totally in my Lee Samuels era lately, love his narration and Vanessa Moyen was new to me too. She was spot on for Emmy’s character.

I am totally looking forward to the next one in this new series 😊
