We heard about Elyna in Tempting the Goalie. She is the sister of Luc. She has also had a hard time lately. The father of her son told her to leave as he was a gambler, and some terrible people were after him.


So, she moves home and has to go and ask the one person that hates her for a job.


Phoenix Thorne has a past with Elyna that was okay up until it wasn’t. He left home and travelled. But his back home now, has his own restaurant and just offered the one woman who he had a thing for a job. And no matter how he wanted to stay away from her, seeing her with her son, all he wants to do is protect them.


And he certainly stepped up when trouble followed Elyna home, and it seems she wasn’t done with her ex yet or he wasn't done with her…


I loved Elyna. She had a tough childhood, and it seemed like it didn’t get better, but she was strong and did everything to make a new life for her and her son. Phoenix was so sweet with little Braden that you couldn’t help fall in love with him. I liked that the author didn’t drag out their animosity towards each other for long.


Loved the romance, the laughter, the angst and the suspense and the amazing Thorne men who all rallied around Elyna and her son 😊. I am looking forward to the next book in this new series 😊
