Imagine this: an author with a raging case of writer’s block finds an unexpected source of inspiration in her grumpy, gorgeous new roommate. Sounds amazing, right?
Except that new roommate is my childhood best friend. And Ian Wilder has been off-limits since I was five. It’s been over a decade since I’ve seen him, but when I return to my hometown after years away, Ian’s exactly the man I remembered.
The same guy who gave me his coat on a playground when we were kids and promised he’d take care of me forever. I need a quiet place to work with this deadline looming. I need a place where my daughter can unwind.
Enter Ian with an offer I can’t refuse: his spare bedroom. It’s an easy yes. Except now the problem is I can’t stop thinking about him, and these thoughts? They’re wandering out of the friend zone. I keep imagining very creative ways to rip off his clothes. And Ian starts giving me looks of his own, the kind that make my heart race.

Review
Harlow and Ian met when they were in Grade schol when he gave her his coat to keep her warm. They have been best friends ever since. Then Ian moved to London and Harlow to NY to become a writer. And as time goes on they seem to lose touch.
Now it's years later and she moved back home with her daughter, going through some writers block moving in with her parents and having to listen to them tell her to get a real job. And she finds out her best friend has also moved home. And seeing him again is like no time has passed.
Ian's dad passed away, so he came home. His now working with his brother at the family company. Being back is good but also has its moments. Dealing with his father death is not easy. But seeing his best friend again is exactly what he needed. Asking her and her daughter to move was just as easy...
I loved these two. Harlow and Ian had an amazing friendship. Living together seems to have an affect on both of them even though they won't admit it. I love how the lived together and everything was comfortable. Even Ian getting along with Harlow's daughter was so effortless.
But you slowly started to see how they both had feelings for each other. Loved Ian's family, totally all up in his life, but you knew they loved each other
Slow Burn romance, friends to lovers. Loved it from start to finish... and definitely reading the previous one as well and can't wait for more🥰
