From Here to Eternity by A.L Jackson

I should have known everything was going to change when she walked into my tattoo shop...

Timid as hell and gorgeous to the extreme. I knew better than even thinking about touching a woman like that.

My life is dangerous.

My calling wicked.

Willing to cross any line to protect the innocent.

I thought I’d never see her again until my little boy tumbled and busted his lip, and I found her working at the doctor’s office.

The woman who’d taken possession of my thoughts.

When it becomes clear she’s in trouble, I offer up a deal.

Twenty questions to earn her trust.

Too bad trusting me is the last thing she should do.

With one kiss, I’m addicted.  With one night, we’re falling into a passion greater than either of us has ever known.

The voices in my head warn I can never keep her. She can’t know the secret life I lead.

Only she’s keeping a secret, too.

And I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means losing everything…

REVIEW

First of all, HOLY FREAKING SMOKE… I knew something was coming, but I didn’t know it was that… Amy you really blew my mind with this one.. Loved every single part of this story 😊

And secondly made me just want to go back and re-read Redemption Hills lol

From the moment you meet Charleigh you knew she had a terrible past. My heart just broke for her, I immediately wanted to be her friend and wanted to take her pain away. That’s why I loved Raven, I loved that she didn’t let Charleigh push her away that she literally forced her way into her life 😊

At the contact, electricity crackled.

“Breathe, Charleigh. Just breathe. That’s all you’ve got to do. Nothing else matters. Just breathe.” I forced it out through the chaos that raged in the middle of me

River, oh man what can I say, River was dark, you picked it up the minute the author introduced him. The way she described him was dark, dangerous and tortured. But when he was with his sister, his ‘brothers’ and his son, he was amazing. Then you could see who he was. Charleigh was the only person that could see past his darkness, because she was tortured too…

She searched my face. “You warned me last night I should stay away from you.”

My stomach fisted. “Might not be able to have you the way I want…the way I’ve been aching to do…but everything about you tells me I’m supposed to be here, right now, in front of you.”

The two of them together you could feel the tension, the lostness, the sadness they had, and

all of that was just pulling them together. I absolutely loved that River wanted to be the person that Charleigh ran to. He could sense that she was a runner, and he wanted his little runner to run to him 😊

What can I say about Nolan, what a freaking adorable little boy. I loved the parts with him and how he just brought the lightness to the story. He absolutely loved his Daddy-O and his auntie and uncles and when Charleigh came into his life he got hooked.

This story was dark, steamy, emotional, but with Nolan and Raven added it had a bit of fun. Like I said that ending I didn’t see coming there for a minute. But the whole story through you knew something was going to hit, and it definitely had me, OMG.. Loved every bit of this story and I am excited to read the giant, Otto’s and Raven story 😊
