REVIEW

So, the storyline was good, I enjoyed every minute of the story. The characters are another story though.

Firstly, Shawn started off as a character that I would have loved. She was a sweet caring woman, who owned her own bakery. She was struggling to get her business of the ground, and all she needed was someone to believe in her, as her family was good for nothing. When she meets King, she was infatuated with him. And he gave her the attention that she needed. But what I wanted from her was to stand up for herself, to fight for her bakery and fight for what she wanted.

King was the VP for the Dark Horse MC, I have to say that I have read a few MC books in time, and this dude was definitely a manwhore… (sorry) He made no bones of the fact that he was a bad guy, and he was an asshole on top of it. I have to say that he never lied to her about anything, and he was really attracted to her, and he was her biggest fan.

The story was good, I loved the suspense and the little bit of angst thrown in. Shawn brought out the protector in King and King brought out the feisty side of Shawn. Just would have like to have seen her take more charge of her own life. A good start to a new series, and I definitely want to read the next one 😊
