This was a first-time author for me. I really wanted to like the story, but it just didn’t work for me. I wanted a bit more angst, a bit more intrigue/suspense…
The story was a quick read. Callie and Macon were high school sweethearts. But then Macon moved away for school, and they drifted apart. All their dreams gone. Callie moved on, she has an amazing, booming bakery, she has awesome friends and what more can she want.
Until Macon comes back to town, with an adorable little girl in hand. Suddenly it seems as though her world is turned upside down.
The story is a good read, if you are looking for a fast paced, easy read, then this is the one. Old love, reconnecting and getting their happily ever after. The story also has an adorable little girl who I absolutely loved. Like I said maybe I just didn’t read the blurb correctly. I really wanted more intrigue, and I wanted more groveling lol. But all in all, if fast paced steamy single dad romance is your jam, then this is the one…
